Proud to be Paducah

Partake in Paducah

Having celebrated our 70th anniversary just last year, we at Chip Wynn Motors are reminded of how thankful we are to be serving Paducah, and we’ve found the perfect way for us to showcase our Paducah pride!

In partnership with West Kentucky Star, we will be sponsoring Partake in Paducah – a website that seeks to serve as a means for us to share what is going on in the city we all love so dearly. Partake in Paducah is a collaboration of stories from all over our community about the businesses, organizations, and people within it. All of these stories and features are meant to answer one question: “Why Paducah?” You and I know the answer, but we want everyone else to know it too! Chip Wynn Motors is honored to take part in this community-boosting initiative!

Partake in Paducah will allow us to celebrate who we are and share it with those in our city, but also outside of it. Chip Wynn Motors is proud to be Paducah, and we are so excited for this opportunity to sponsor Partake in Paducah alongside West Kentucky Star!

Experience the Total Solar Eclipse in Paducah, Kentucky

Solar Eclipse
Right here in our small town on August 21st we will experience a celestial phenomenon that many people have been waiting years for—a total solar eclipse.

Right here in our small town on August 21st we will get to experience a celestial phenomenon that many people have been waiting years for—a total solar eclipse. We are right in the path of totality which means that the moon will completely cover the sun. In addition, we are very close to the point of longest eclipse and will get to experience about 2 minutes and 20 seconds of twilight darkness.

The eclipse will start in Paducah at 11:54 and totality will begin at 1:22. Keep in mind, that just like any other time, staring directly at the sun can damage your eyes. That is why experts recommend you purchase a pair of eclipse glasses. These glasses have lenses that are specifically designed to protect your eyes from the harmful rays of the sun.

If you are looking for a fun place to watch the eclipse with others, there are some great options to choose from here in Paducah. You can visit the Challenger Learning Center, McCracken County Library, River Discovery Center, Brooks Stadium, Dry Ground Brewing Company, Silent Brigade Distillery, and the Art Guild of Paducah.

Here at Chip Wynn Motors, we are excited to get to see this amazing event right above our heads.
