Kentucky Road Trips: National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green

Corvettes Through The Years

Living in Paducah gives us access to so many easy and exciting Kentucky road trips. One of our favorite quick road trips is the journey to the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green. The trip is just two and a half hours, with the museum located roughly 150 miles away.

The National Corvette Museum has more than 80 Corvettes on display, including many one of a kinds. The museum was built in the 90s and has hosted millions of visitors since. You can also grab a bite to eat there at the Corvette Café and, more exciting, visit the connected NCM Motorsports Park where you can watch Corvettes in action or even take a lap in a Corvette if you are brave enough.

The National Corvette Museum fell victim to a sinkhole earlier this decade. The sinkhole that formed inside the museum swallowed several classic Corvettes. Some of these were restored and are back on display; others remain on display in their damaged condition as a reminder of what happened at the museum.

The museum is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., seven days a week, with the exception of New Year’s Day, Easter, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day.
