Best Places for Fall Foliage from Paducah, KY

Fall has returned to Paducah, and that means it’s time to get out on the road and check out some of the wonderful fall foliage that Kentucky has to offer. If you’re looking to drink in the colors, sounds, and smells of autumn, these are some of the best spots to do it.

Country Music Highway

You don’t have to be a fan of country music to take a trip down the Country Music Highway, aka the US-23 National Scenic Byway, but it sure doesn’t hurt. This 144-mile stretch is packed with points of interest for country music fans, and it’s especially beautiful during the fall months thanks to the gorgeous foliage you’ll see along the way. This spot is a good distance from Paducah, but it’s well worth it if you’re in need of a fall road trip.

Woodlands Trace

Woodlands Trace is a locale for fall foliage that’s quite a bit closer to Paducah. A scant 25 minutes away, KY-453 slices through the Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area, which means you’ll have plenty of opportunities to hike once you find a spot to park. Or if you’re just in the mood to cruise and listen to some music, this 43-mile stretch will hit the spot.
