While many people may head to New England to see the colors of fall, there is a spectacular display of fall foliage in Kentucky, too. Our later peak color time gives you longer to enjoy all that the season has to offer. Here are the best places to see some fall foliage.
Land Between the Lakes
The Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area is one of the most diverse areas in the state. It is located about an hour away from Paducah in Golden Pond. You can see the colors by boat on the lake or by walking along one of the numerous trails through the forest.
Pennyrile Forest State Resort Park
Located in Dawson Springs, Pennyrile Forest State Resort Pike will give you an endless spectrum of color. Plan a camping trip so you can watch the sunset and the sunrise the next morning. If you enjoy photography or painting, be sure to bring along your supplies.
Red River Gorge Zipline Tours
For a more thrilling autumn experience, head east to Campton and take a ride on the Red River Gorge Zipline Tours. This will give you a new perspective from above the tree line. There are five ziplines to send you and your family soaring.
The fall paints Paducah in a beautiful swathe of colors, and if you want to experience it all, you’ll need a reliable ride. For that, stop into Chip Wynn Motors and check out our great selection.
