Houses are not the only things we own that can benefit from spring cleaning. After a snowy, wet winter, it’s likely that our cars could use a good dose of spring cleaning as well. Here are some tips for spring cleaning your car:
Give it a good wash
Car washes are crucial throughout the year, but especially after winter, as the buildup of road salt can damage your exterior paint and cause rust to form on the underbody. Take your car through a car wash this spring, or take the time to wash it off at home. Don’t forget to polish and wax.
Clean out the trash
If you have let food wrappers, receipts, and other trash items collect in your car over the last year, grab a couple trash bags and clean it all out. Use one bag for trash and one for recycling. Now is also a good time to clean out items that shouldn’t have gotten in there to begin with, like dirty clothes, abandoned gym bags, and mounds of papers.
Get a good detailing
TipHero offers lots of good tips for detailing the inside of your car, but we recommend using your income tax return and treating yourself to a professional detailing. We offer that service here at Chip Wynn Motors.
